| In the early days, horse-drawn wagons pulled up in front of J. A. Hefner's place to shop for furniture. It was at Hefner Mercantile in Qulin that J. A. began a family tradition of providing patrons with quality products and quality service whether buying, trading or selling goods. When J. A. Jr. (Joe Hefner) took over the store, Joe knew the importance of taking care of his customers.
